Donate your clothes

Donate and shop second-hand clothes with Thrift+.  Thrift’s vision is to help you turn your unwanted clothing into donations for charity.

It’s simple to get started:

1. Order yourself a Thrift bag

2. Fill it up with your amazing second hand clothing

3. Send back the bag and let Thrift+ do the rest!

The Girls’ Network will receive a minimum of £1 per sale, although the donation could be as much as 66% of the sale.

Donate currency, jewellery, stamps

Recycling for Good Causes works with over 5000 charities and organisations. Because of the scale of their operation and large network of buyers, they are able to create income for us from seemingly worthless items.

Jewellery & watches: gold, silver, costume jewellery, watches, broken and damaged items (odd earrings, snapped chains or items with missing stones).

Currency: any coins or banknotes, UK & foreign, including if it’s out of circulation currency

Stamps: loose, single, albums, first day covers, presentation packs, collections, postcard collections

To send your jewellery and banknotes for recycling simply use your own envelope or jiffy bag (no bigger than A5) and post free of charge by printing out the freepost label here and attaching to your envelope. Please do not send coins or stamps to the freepost address as the postage costs will far outweigh your donation.

To send stamps, on or off paper simply cut or carefully rip the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful not to damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope making sure you have the correct postage to:

The Girls’ Network, PO Box 16992, Sutton Coldfield, B73 9YA.

More items than will fit into an A5 envelope? Please call 0800 633 5323 or email for information on our polybag/sack recycling projects to recycle larger items.

Donate an old car

Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that turns your old cars, light vans, motorbikes and even caravans into cash. They arrange free collection, and then depending on your car’s condition sell it at auction or scrap it, with the proceeds raised (minus the service fees) going directly to The Girls’ Network. It’s so easy.

Find out more information here or call Giveacar on 0207 736 4242.
